Except Hong Kong Disneyland, there is tourist spots worthy going in Lantau Island. It is 34 metre high Giant Buddha, which is world’s tallest outdoor seated bronze Buddha statue. We would call it as Tian Tan Buddha and regard as Sakyamuni Buddha. You can reach there by taking cable car and go through 268 steps to reach the Buddha finally.
First of all, for the 5.7 km long cable car Ngong Ping 360 °, you will be able to have the panoramic view of Lantau Island including Tian Tan Big Buddha, the flora and fauna of North Lantau Country Park, Tung Chung Bay and the Hong Kong International Airport. Crystal cable car has been offered to you for a better experience.
After arrive in Ngong Ping village, you can purchase some souvenirs and take some photo around. However, you can have your meals in vegetarian restaurant Buddha statue nearby, as it is famous food right there. Besides, there is Po Lin Monastery and 3 levels exhibition beneath the Giant Buddha.

How to go there:
Giant Buddha / Po Lin Monastery
1.Catch ferry from Central Pier 6 (MTR Hong Kong Station Exit E1. Walk through ifc mall) to Mui Wo, then take bus 2.
2.MTR Tung Chung Station Exit B, then take bus 23 from Tung Chung Town Centre.
3.MTR Tung Chung Station Exit B, then take Ngong Ping Cable Car.
